Reporting to the Design Manager, the Senior Designer (Supervisory) will be responsible for designing marketing and branding materials, digital and social media products, and health education materials. They will be supporting in-house project managers as well as a wide variety of grant-funded health-related projects throughout the country. They will be responsible for supervising one or more Designers. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinker who is aware of current trends, has excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position requires enthusiasm for ETR’s mission, vision, and values to improve health outcomes and advance health equity. This is a remote position and must reside in the state of California.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Graphic design degree or similar degree preferred 
  • 5 years of graphic design experience 
  • Excellent design portfolio 
  • Advanced skills in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and PowerPoint 
  • Intermediate skills in animation and video editing 
  • Basic UX/UI skills utilizing wireframing tools such as Figma or XD 
  • One year experience supervising contractors or other designers 
  • Experience managing outside vendors 
  • Experience mentoring and coaching other designers 
  • Experience independently managing design projects start to finish 
  • Experience training design staff and/or contractors 
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook 
  • Ability to track projects in project management tools such as MS Planner 
  • Ability to prepare files for print and review printer proofs 
  • Ability to keep up with changing trends in media design 
  • Ability to adapt material for digital and web distribution 
  • Ability to work with translated material specific to priority populations 
  • High level of accuracy, exceptional organization skills and keen attention to detail 
  • Ability to work on several projects in various stages of production and with competing deadlines 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team 
  • Self-motivated and proactive in finding solutions to challenges 
  • Willingness to work additional hours during deadline periods 
  • The use of a personal vehicle or rental car for ETR business will require a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. 

Location: Remote - California (only)

Starting Pay Range: $82,000-100,100 annually. The typical hiring range for this position is $82,000 to $91,100 at 100% FTE. The starting salary is determined based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
